Evan's Birthday Party

Evan had his bowling birthday party on Saturday. He has a fabulous time....and I think all his friends had a blast too! I really did not get many pics but in my defense, a birthday party with 20 4 and 5 year olds is chaotic, full of energy, exhausting and non-stop!

Birthday season is closed at the Hutcheson abode till November!:)

Heard here on a Tuesday

Luke was home sick from school today as he is still recovering from his awful cough he had with he strep. I have to have Ms. Gloria come babysit, because I had my annual appointment with the gyn that had already been rescheduled.

When I got home this is the ensuing conversation with Luke:

L:Mommy, did they check your throat with the Popsicle stick ?
Me: Nope, not today.
L: Why Mommy?
Me: They just don't do that at this doctor.
L: Well, what did they check?
Me: My mommy parts got a check-up.
L: Oh, did they check your boobies with the Popsicle stick?

Seriously, life with toddlers is comedy all by itself!;)

The Boys with Grandma and Papa!

Papa always has bizarre camera faces. This is right before Evan and I headed off to church so he is in his "church clothes".;)

Ahhhh, this is the life!

Ahhh, Spring in the Big D Grandma did a lot of knitting, Grandpa read up on the Civil War....the "For Dummies" series...no comment, just reporting the facts!
Jon's perfect morning: warm weather, coffee, a patio and the newspaper....too bad there isn't a Porta-Potty in our yard!

The boy in jinxed!

Perhaps, it was because I told people I was preganat with him on Easter but my poor Luke has not been fortunate with Easter. His first Easter he has an ear infection, his 2nd a virus with fever and this year strep throat! He is such a good patient....give him a race car pillow, apple juice and a good binky and he is happy!

The Eggs...always the Eggs!

Grandma loves dyeing eggs....we used to do at least 4 dozen growing up! We stuck to 2 dozen and had a lot of fun drawing on them...not very creative, but I have the math/science genes not the artsy/creative ones. The boys had a great time. You will notice Luke's hacking cough face in the first pic.....it only goes downhill from there! It is amazing that my mother...who feels playdough was her arch nemesis in the vain of Superman and Kryptonite...likes something as messy as egg dyeing.

Grandma came to visit...

and she ended up wearing a cowboy hat....how Texas is that?!

This is her and Evan playing a game out on the patio. Gotta love the effect of the Texas sun on a dark skinned Italian!
